STARBUCK THEATRE COMPANY aim to make the experience of ‘putting on a show’ an enjoyable experience, where every member of the team feels valued, so that everyone is working towards the same goal with the same passion. It’s a collaborative experience, and STARBUCK THEATRE COMPANY aim to bring as much notice to the writers and their work as possible, whilst also giving them a piece they can view to see where it needs to go for its next stage of life.

Artistic Director & Producer

Sarah Pavlovs

As Artistic Director & Producer of Starbuck Theatre Company, Sarah has been working to help to develop and stage new writings for UK audiences. She has collaborated with writers both from the UK and internationally - often working with writers from the US.

 

Sarah is also a performer, trained in Singing, Dancing and Acting. She has performed in numerous musicals and plays around the country, including the Edinburgh Fringe, working with the BBC and in the West End, and her voice can be heard on various vocal recordings.

She is also a director and choreographer and vocal coach for both professional adult productions and Youth Shows. 

 Sarah has directed plays by Berkoff and Mamet to full scale major musicals including ‘We Will Rock You’ and ‘Sweet Charity’.

Sarah teaches both class lessons and LAMDA lessons with Starbuck Theatre Youth classes. 

A graduate of the University of Birmingham and a qualified teacher Sarah has has been teaching Drama in schools and colleges for the last 9 years. She has taught Edxecel and AQA Drama and Theatre Studies A Level as well as BTec and GCSE courses in Drama and Performing Arts. Sarah is also the LAMDA drama teacher for The Royal Grammar School Worcester, as well as Dodderhill School, and at Spirals Dance and Performance Acadmey, and has previously worked at RGSW’s Prep School – Springfield, where she has 100% pass rate at Merit and Distinction.

Starbuck Theatre Youth Class Teacher & Vocal Coach

Sam James

Sam has been working with Starbuck Theatre for the last 2 years, and has been vocal coach and assistant director on the Youth Productions. He is a trained singing teacher with London College of Music and teaches private singing and LAMDA lessons for Starbuck pupils, and teaches Starbuck Youth Classes.


Sam is also an accomplished pianist, accompanying students in performances, and he is also part of the professional company, having been involved in showcase evenings, and helping to develop the new work ‘Snowfall in July’.
